Easy Songs to Sing with Toddlers

I often find myself writing out easy songs for parents to learn after I used them in a therapy session. There are a couple popular ones parents and kiddos like the best which I will write down below for you to learn. Enjoy!

Rain is Falling Down

Rain is falling down, splash!
Rain is falling down, splash!
Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.
Rain is falling down, splash!
Sun is peeking out, peek-a-boo!
Sun is peeking out, peek-a-boo!
Peeking here, peeking there,
Sun is peeking out, peek-a-boo!

Open Shut Them

Open, shut them, open, shut them,
Give a little clap, clap, clap.
Open, shut them, open, shut them,
Put them in your lap, lap, lap.

Open, shut them, open, shut them,
Give a little peek, peek, peek.
Open, shut them, open, shut them,
Time to go to sleep. Wake up! Go to sleep. Wake up!

*Note: For this song I linked the tune of it in the title but the linked song uses different lyrics then the ones I have written. I prefer this one because you can use gestures such as peek a boo and the kids tend to like when you pretend to fall asleep and the suddenly wake up at the end!

Feel free to incorporate your own gestures, alternate the pace in which you sing the song and include siblings! :)
